Ireland Park Foundation wins Community Heritage Award
Earlier this week, we were thrilled to accept the Community Heritage Award as part of the 2018 Heritage Toronto Awards!
This year, the Heritage Toronto Awards took place at The Carlu on Monday, October 29th. The awards are presented annually across five categories: Community Heritage, Public History, Historical Writing: Short Publication, Historical Writing: Book and Architectural Conservation and Craftsmenship. Ireland Park Foundation was one of five nominees for the Community Heritage Award, which recognizes community-based organizations that are active in the City of Toronto. Special mention was given to RISE UP! A Feminist Archive.
IPF Chair and Founder, Robert G. Kearns, accepted the award on IPF’s behalf. Tom Bessai of Denegri Bessai Studios, Scott Christie of BLVD Agency and Jonathan Kearns of Kearns Mancini Architects were present as our guests in recognition of their hard work and support for the design of Ireland Park, Grasett Park and general web and brand design.
We are humbled to be named among the top community-based heritage organizations in Toronto. With the completion of Grasett Park and the acquirement of a permanent space beside Ireland Park, we look forward to the exciting chapter ahead for Ireland Park Foundation.
We would like to thank all of our supporters over the years. This would not have been possible without you!
